It was a privilege for some of the members of the Waikato Pacific Business Network Executive Committee to attend and be part of the first day of a two day Waikato Regional Economic Development Agency (WREDA) summit held today at Lake Karapiro.

The summit brings together 250 key regional leaders and business representatives, all chosen for their ability to contribute to economic growth and are prepared to make the effort for their communities to strengthen prosperity in the region. The new name was also revealed today for WREDA as “Te Waka: Anga Whakamua Waikato – Waikato moving forward.”

It will be interesting to see what action plan moving forward the group will make from the information and feedback gathered on the day.
