The Waikato Pacific  Business Network was pleased to have hosted Dr Farah Palmer, the first woman appointed to the NZ Rugby Board and Former Ikale Tahi Tonga National Rugby Captain, Inoke Afeaki at an All Black vs Tonga pre-match function at McCaw Lewis Lawyer offices.  A packed room heard both speakers share their respective experiences addressing governance, leadership, diversity, inclusivity- and how each smashed the norm within their sphere of influence in sports.  The Tonga Sports Council was also present with Director Mr Sateki Ahio in attendance.

Each speaker shared the importance of diversity and inclusion in doing business through governance and leadership as very important for both Maori and Pasifika in order to see increased high performance results for national sports teams and organizational teams. The audience had the opportunity to ask questions to both speakers followed by networking before everyone made their way to FMG Stadium for the big game.
