Our Business Navigator, Teuila Maggof, led the first Food Health and Safety Compliance Workshop for new start-up businesses last night. It was fantastic to welcome new aspiring Pacific chefs and caterers to discover the traits from Teuila, who is also the founder of Great River Catering, a business she has run in Hamilton for over 20 years. Teuila shared her passion for food and hospitality by combining her great organisational and planning skills a trait she had inherited from her parents.
We are fortunate to have Teuila share her experience with our Pasifika businesses, who share the same desire to run their own food and catering businesses. However, as with any other businesses, the first step is to ensure compliance is right. Teuila brings great value to our members in the hospitality sector by demonstrating genuine passion and a desire to help our Pasifika businesses grow. She has assisted a lot of start up business members in the past that are now operating their own takeaway and catering businesses.
