Kia Orāna!!
Tonight, we’re at the “16th Star” of the Cook Islands, Tokoroa, with the thriving young community. We have collaborated with Paniora Daniels and his team at WORKit, as well as the Mayors Taskforce For Jobs, to Connect,Empower and Share what we and our guest speakers have done to help the Pasifika community and wider communities of Waikato.
We have invited a fantastic team of accomplished speakers who are Pasifika and previous and current Tokoroa residents to share their stories with the youth. The speakers include:
- Rose Marsters – Strategic Pacific Director at Wintec
- Tangi Glassie, Project Manager at Northpower
- Chloe Tupou-Fairoa Herman, Solicitor/Lawyer at Grayson Clements Lawyers
- Ratu Ratu – Community Advisor -Hamilton City Council
- Regina Sheck – proud ex Police Officer and Black Fern and currently works at Blue Light empowering youth
- John Natua – Portfolio Lead at Health New Zealand-Te Whatu Ora
