The Waikato Pacific Business Network had the privilege of hosting senior Treasury staff: Deputy Secretaries Struan Little (Budget, Public Services), Bryan Chappell (Macroeconomics, Growth) and Su’a Thomsen (Principal Advisor Pacific Islands Capability). This is the first time Treasury has visited with Pacific business leaders in the Waikato.
Day 1: Roundtable discussion regarding social and economic development opportunities and challenges in the region. Followed by a networking evening at Mccaw Lewis – Lawyers.
Day 2: Site visit to local Pacific businesses Alignz Recruitment, The Food Company, PCM Consulting, and Kaute Pasifika Trust Service.
This is an exciting moment for Pacifica businesses in having an active voice to impact change and involvement of Pacifica in New Zealand’s Economic Planning and Development.
